Chef Eric's journey began in the vibrant kitchens of New York, learning the secrets of flavor from his mother's side. This early love blossomed into a lifelong pursuit, taking him to the esteemed Baltimore International Culinary College. He honed his craft working under the tutelage of culinary giants like Master Chef Tom Chin, Gunter Seeger, Joel Antunes, and even working with celebrity chef, Wolfgang Puck. But Eric wasn't content with just mastery; he became a culinary globetrotter, immersing himself in diverse cuisines from around the world. This expansive palette fueled his inventive "Global Southern Cuisine" – a style that effortlessly blends classical techniques with bold, international flavors. Beyond the gourmet, Chef Eric harbors a profound desire to uplift nutritional standards.
As a Certified Raw Vegan Chef and Certified Health and Nutrition Counselor, he champions healthier meals, proving with every dish that "Food is love; eat well!" doesn't mean sacrificing an ounce of flavor.
While Chef Eric creates culinary magic, the soul of Exquisite Delites resides firmly with Sandra Centeno. Eric himself proudly proclaims her to be "the main ingredient" in his success. Their 25 years of marriage are a testament to how seamlessly they work together as a team, exemplifying the profound importance of family in every aspect of their lives and business. Sandra’s path to the catering world was as determined and inspiring as her husband's. A proud graduate of Clark Atlanta University with a degree in Mass Media Arts and Radio/TV/Film, she embodied her alma mater’s philosophy: "find a way, or make one." Born to Haitian immigrant parents and raised in Chicago before moving to Orlando, Sandra’s early life taught her resilience. Her dream of becoming a TV producer became a reality, first at CNN International and then at WSB-TV, a testament to her ambition and hard work.
However, after marriage and the joy of raising their two children, Sandra's priorities shifted. She yearned for more time with her family and a way to integrate their lives with their professional endeavors. This desire sparked the idea for Exquisite Delites.
As the CFO and Director of Catering Sales, Sandra brings her sharp organizational skills, honed by years in television, to ensure exceptional customer service and seamless operations.
Her remarkable linguistic abilities—fluent in French, Haitian Creole, Spanish, and English, and currently learning Amharic and Hindi—coupled with her event planning background, make her an indispensable asset, effortlessly connecting with clients from all walks of life.
Together, Eric and Sandra have built Exquisite Delites into more than just a catering company; it's an extension of their home, their values, and their shared passion. It's a place where Chef Eric’s innovative, healthy, and incredibly flavorful creations meet Sandra’s meticulous planning and warm, multilingual customer care.
